Terms for using Handwrite.

Handwrite is operated by Perspec Digital. Throughout these terms, “Handwrite,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Perspec Digital and the Handwrite service.

Handwrite is an educational software product that helps users turn homework photos, screenshots, and typed inputs into editable answers, previews, and handwritten-style PDF exports.

• You must be at least 13 years old to use Handwrite.
• You are responsible for following the rules of your school, class, institution, employer, testing body, or any other party that governs your work.
• Handwrite does not give permission to violate academic-integrity rules, honor codes, assignment policies, or submission standards.
• If a class, teacher, or institution does not allow this type of tool, you may not use Handwrite for that purpose.

Some features may require an account or paid plan, and some may be available without one. You are responsible for activity tied to your account, session, or device.

• No unlawful, deceptive, abusive, or harmful use.
• No attempts to bypass rate limits, quotas, or security controls.
• No resale, sublicensing, white-labeling, or commercial exploitation of Handwrite without our written permission.
• No use of material you do not have the right to upload, process, or export.
• No reverse engineering, large-scale scraping, or interference with Handwrite or other users.

You retain your rights in the content you upload, type, or generate through Handwrite, subject to any third-party rights that may apply.

You grant Perspec Digital a limited license to host, transmit, process, transform, and display that content only as needed to operate Handwrite, provide outputs, maintain the service, investigate issues, and comply with legal obligations.

Handwrite, the site, the software, and the related branding remain the property of Perspec Digital and its licensors.

Handwrite may offer free usage, paid plans, promotions, and usage limits. If you subscribe to a paid plan, you authorize recurring charges through our payment processor until the subscription is canceled.

• If we offer a free trial on a paid subscription, the subscription converts to a paid recurring plan unless canceled before the trial ends.
• Paid subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before the next billing date.
• Pricing, plan limits, and feature access may change over time. We may give notice before material pricing changes take effect.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription through the billing tools we make available, including the customer billing portal when offered.
• Except where required by law or expressly stated otherwise, fees are non-refundable and we do not provide prorated refunds or credits for partial billing periods.

Handwrite may include beta, preview, or experimental features. Features may change, break, or be removed without notice, and the service may not always perform as expected.

We may update, modify, pause, restrict, or discontinue any part of Handwrite at any time.

Handwrite relies on automated systems and third-party providers. Outputs may be incorrect, incomplete, poorly formatted, or unsuitable for your class or use case.

• You are responsible for checking all output before using it.
• We do not guarantee correctness, completeness, or academic acceptability.
• Handwrite is not legal, medical, financial, or professional advice.

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access if we believe a user has violated these terms, created legal or security risk, abused the service, or caused operational issues.

You may stop using Handwrite at any time. Any payment obligations or provisions that reasonably should survive termination will continue to apply.

Handwrite is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, Perspec Digital disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, uptime, and uninterrupted availability.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Perspec Digital will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, academic consequences, loss of opportunity, business interruption, or loss of profits.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Perspec Digital's total liability for claims arising out of or relating to Handwrite will not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you paid to us in the three months before the claim arose, or (b) $100 USD.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except to the extent non-waivable consumer protections apply where you live.

If you have a concern or dispute, contact us first so we can try to resolve it informally. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, either party may seek relief through a court of competent jurisdiction, subject to applicable law.
